Inventor Showcase Events

CCTS Translational Innovation Program produces monthly inventor showcase events to showcase inventors and their exemplary work at the intersection of academic achievement, science, team science, technology, and business to improve human health.  Each month will feature presentations by an inventor team and a resource team followed by a Q&A with the speaker panel.  

Goals of these inventor showcases are to:

  • Model entrepreneurship related activities as an expected academic behavior 
  • Nurture an entrepreneurial mindset among our clinicians, faculty, staff and students using the science of storytelling
  • Navigate academic innovation ecosystem by promoting various support services, funding mechanisms, training and expertise available to inventors
    Promote team science and roles of various players within the life science innovation ecosystem
  • Demystify the entrepreneurship pathway of translation, promote culture change and advance the field of translational science
