Good Clinical Practice Training

Requirement for investigators and key personnel who participate in the design, conduct and/or reporting of research at OSU

In anticipation of a minimum standard for human subjects research that will be forthcoming from NIH, the CCTS now requires its Executive Committee, Program Directors, and Staff to complete the CITI Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training module. In addition, all new Pilot, T32 and K12 Awardees whose work involves human subject research will also be required to complete this training before such research commences.

There is also a GCP that is FDA focused for Investigational Drug and Device research and Social and Behavioral GCP.

The CITI training module can be accessed through The Ohio State University ORRP website, and takes approximately four to six hours to complete over one or more sessions. Each module is approximately 30-45 minutes long.

CITI GCP training will eventually be required for appropriate study personnel for all CCTS-supported human subject research studies.
