Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Aortic Aneurysms

Dr. Doran Mix, Assistant Professor of Surgery, Department of Vascular Surgery, University of Rochester, will present a lecture: "Magnetic Resonance Imaging to Measure Biomedical Indices of Aortic Dissection in Human Subjects," on April 11 at 10-11 a.m. on Zoom. The presentation will focus on Dr. Mix's research to use MRI imaging techniques that directly measure the material properties of the aorta to create the first mechanical indices of dissection-related aneurysms, and he will discuss the implications of this project for translational science. Dr Mix is a KL2 scholar and is the Clinical and Translational Science Award Program Visiting Scholar at Ohio State University.
