Workshop Description: The Most Important Story You Tell - Building Your Professional Narrative
To create a professional narrative that rings true to you and positions you as an authentic leader in your field, we must move from the personal to the public. Drawing on new research into the neuroscience of story, Sarah Lagrotteria from Just Bloom will facilitate surfacing the three most important narratives for WIMS: the personal one they tell themselves to build resilience, the semi-public one they share with peers to build connection and identity, and the dossier-ready version that bridges the gap between the first two narratives and the public demands of the profession. Participants will devote the last ten minutes of the workshop working on a new draft of the narrative section of their dossier.

Sarah Lagrotteria (MA, Stanford) is the head educator at Just Bloom School, where she empowers individuals and businesses with Dr. Angus Fletcher's (Professor of Story Science at Ohio State's Project Narrative) pioneering theory of creativity. She offers her narrative-based workshops privately through Just Bloom, through the Columbus Museum of Art and through the Executive Education program at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
In 2019, Sarah was honored as one of 50 women nationwide as a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow for women in business. Known for bringing clarity and individual attention to her workshops, Sarah inspires industry leaders, school educators and small business professionals to unearth and deploy the stories that make them resilient and uniquely able to drive change in their organization and themselves.
