Retention Factors for Site Professionals: A Survey in Development

Staff shortages and turnover rates among clinical research professionals (CRPs) negatively impact research activities. Recent studies suggest that factors like PI engagement and compensation may improve retention and job satisfaction for clinical research coordinators. However, existing job satisfaction data lack depth.

To address this, we conducted a mixed methods research study, gathering survey and qualitative responses from CRPs at clinical trial sites. Our study aims to validate correlations between job satisfaction and retention, uncover new retention-related characteristics, and contribute to future research and solutions. In this presentation, we will present our preliminary study findings in hopes for targeted and widespread solutions.
