I-Corps@NCATS Innovation Bootcamp To Accelerate Commercialization of Your Life Sciences Innovation

We are excited to announce that our consortium partners at University of Alabama at Birmingham CCTS are inviting you to apply for their online I-Corps@NCATS Innovation Bootcamp specifically designed to teach how to take life science innovations to market, regardless of the stage of development of the innovation.
WHAT: A five-week online, project-based, experiential course based on the successful National Science Foundation I-Corps and I-Corps at NIH Entrepreneurial Training Program, which combines business model training with a customer discovery process. Types of innovations include therapeutics, biologics, diagnostics, devices, digital or Health IT/Services, educational/training interventions, research tools, etc.
WHO: Teams of 2+ team members - consisting of an Entrepreneurial Lead (undergrad, grad, Ph.D. student who will move the project forward) and a Technical Lead (typically faculty member, senior research scientist or postdoctoral scholar with deep and direct technical expertise in the innovation)
WHY PARTICIPATE:
- Learn how to “get out of the building” and identify and talk to potential customers and stakeholders of your innovation
- Identify commercial potential for your innovation
- Develop a successful business case for securing funding
- Expand your network of innovation partners, mentors, and potential collaborators as well as competitors
- Build confidence and skills to create a comprehensive business model
- Receive eligibility to participate in the NSF I-Corps Teams Program and $50,000 grant
