Deadline for the Healthy State Alliance: $50,000 Momentum Research Grant

The leadership of Healthy State Alliance (HSA), the initiative between The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH), is dedicated to the success of collaborative research studies. 

As a result, HSA has developed the Healthy State Alliance Momentum Research Grant. The HSA Momentum Research Grant is a $50,000 grant awarded as an internal program to provide pilot funding for collaborative research.  The short-term funding will support Ohio State and BSMH investigators with joint projects who plan to obtain external funding. 

The HSA Momentum Research Grant will enable successful scientists with a track record of productivity to broaden their research portfolio via means of generating new resources, initiating new collaborative partnerships and venturing out beyond current research in areas relevant to the science community and of interest to extramural funding agencies. The goal of this program is to enhance the likelihood that PIs will be successful in securing extramural funding, specifically funding with full indirect costs.

Objectives of HSA collaboration include:
• Participating in joint research projects 
• Securing joint funding from NIH and industry 
• Increasing access to clinical trials (cancer and non-cancer)
