Meet Todd Huffman

Q:  What is your role at CCTS? 

Todd Huffman

A: Senior Business Operations Analyst, in this role I do monthly financial reconciliations of CCTS grants, initiate procurement transactions and reimbursements, as well as assist in the budgeting process for CCTS grants and university funding.

Q: How do you think the CCTS is impacting medicine? 

A: CCTS helps build collaborative teams with experts from areas that are essential to projects, from the clinical side to commercialization. The members provide useful insights to make sure that the work is clinically meaningful and commercially impactful.

Q: What is one thing you want everyone to know about the CCTS?  

A: The CCTS provides help on how to conduct research projects. Researchers benefit such as learning how to analyze patient data and how to design an effective research study.

Q: What is your favorite thing about the CCTS? 

A:  Seeing the quality of life of patients with the impact of studies and research projects and contributing to the innovative research across the university community.

Q: What do you do in your pass-time? 

A: When time allows, I enjoy golfing or going to Cedar Point for roller coasters if the Ohio weather is cooperating! 

Q: What was your dream job when you were a kid? 

A: When I was a younger, I had visions of playing on the PGA Tour as a professional golfer.  

Q: What's your typical day like? 

A: During work hours my day is spent answering emails, having phone calls with internal/external colleagues, entering and pulling data from Workday then analyzing that data. After work, my times typically consists of traveling with my 2 kids to various sporting activities that involve volleyball, soccer and golf.   

Q: If you could have a meal with 3 famous people (dead or alive), who would they be and why? 

A: Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Bobby Jones. Hearing stories from 3 different generations of how they maintained being some of the best golfers at their peak would be great to hear.

Q: What is your proudest moment? 

A: Both days my 2 children were born and seeing them grow as young adults.  

Q: Favorite band/song?  

A: Twenty One Pilots and their songs “Trees” and “Car Radio”.
