TL1 Trainee Jessica Herstine to Present at the National TL1 Symposium

On December 13, 2022, TL1 Jessica Herstine will present her research at the national TL1 William Schnaper Visiting Scientist Mini-Symposium: Circumventing Road Blocks in Clinical and Translational Science. The program is virtual and runs from 1 to 3 PM. Ms Herstine will be speaking at approximately 2:35 PM. Her topic is: "Overcoming the therapeutic challenges of Vanishing White Matter Disease with a novel targeted gene replacement."

The goal of the virtual mini-symposium is to highlight stories of innovation, creativity, adaptability by TL1 trainees and including the development of new research questions and adaptation of ongoing research.

This event is hosted by Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) TL1 Translation Biomedical Science (TBS) Program and co-sponsored by the Center for Leading Innovation & Collaboration (CLIC) and the William Schnaper Visiting Scientist Program (WSVS) Working Group. 

Ms Herstine is a PhD candidate in Molecular Cellular Developmental Biology. Her lead mentor is Allison Bradbury, PhD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University.
