A central resources for monitoring and improving research revenue

The OSU Health System Research Billing Office (RBO) is part of Access and Revenue Cycle Management Shared Services serving researchers and health system staff throughout the Medical Center.  The RBO is responsible for monitoring and improving research billing processes within the health system to ensure the delivery of accurate research bills. The RBO also serves as the central resource for research issues within the health system revenue cycle.

The RBO provides research rate quotes for research specific procedures, creates research accounts, provides research account billing services, assists in completing the coverage analysis assurance form, submits Medicare approval for investigational devices, completes research pre-determination for potential research participants and provides education and training on the health system research billing processes.
