Learn the fundamentals of managing data and strategies to visualize 'big data' in complex policy problems.

This course will introduce participants to data, intelligence, and the non-linear research methods used to model, simulate, and visualize 'big data' in complex policy problems. Participants will work individually and in group settings to learn the fundaments of data, the principles and types of intelligence, and how data-derived intelligence informs decisionmaking.  Participants will learn how to analyze the dynamics and most influential variables affecting a specific problem, craft interactive dashboards and simulate results of various policy interventions and leverage points, and communicate data in a clear, concise way.
