Chemical and Radio Chemical Support Services
The Drug Discovery and Development Core provides chemical and radiochemical support services to CCTS investigators.
CCTS investigators needing chemical or radiochemical assistance and support for their projects are encouraged to contact the Drug Discovery and Development Core. Michael Darby, PhD, has over 25 years of experience in radiosynthesis, including radioiodinations and synthetic radiolabeling with tritium and carbon -14, along with extensive experience with radioanalytical instrumentation. As a member of the OSU Radiation Safety Committee, Dr. Darby can also assist with the development and approval of protocols using radioisotopic materials.
The Drug Discovery Core can also assist in collaboration on more extensive drug development and synthesis projects through using the expertise of the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and the Comprehensive Cancer Center Medicinal Chemistry Shared Resource.
