Researcher/participant and researcher/community partnerships require familiarity with research participant perspectives, outreach and engagement best practices, and available resources. Introduced in 2011 by the National Institutes of Health National Center for Research Resources; provides theoretical framework and practical guidance for engaging partners. - Community Campus Partnerships for Health
Non-profit organization promoting community/academic partnerships; Provides educational resources discussing community-based participatory research. - Community Toolbox
Provides information on essential skills for building healthy communities. - Education Networks to Advance Cancer Clinical Trials
National organization aiming to improve access to cancer clinical trials through education/collaboration with communities; Training programs and resources available.

Interdisciplinary health services and research institute at Ohio University; Provides community health assessments and county-level data. - Central Ohio Data Access Tools
This website provides central Ohio data through DataSource, Community Indicators, and Research Clearinghouse tools. - Health Landscape
Allows users to create custom maps and tables of health in their communities depicting populations at risk, health outcomes, and the distribution of health interventions. - OASIS (Online Analysis & Statistical Information System)
Users are given access to public-release health and social science data for download or on-line statistical analysis. - Ohio Family Health Survey
Largest state-sponsored health survey in the U.S. Survey questions cover health status, health care access and utilization, satisfaction, insurance status, and demographics.

Includes 25 primary care sites throughout Central Ohio. Members can access demographic/diagnosis data. Excellent resource for recruitment practice-based research. - OSU Extension
Partners with communities, business and industry, and organizations to improve the lives and communities of Ohioans through research-based education programs. - OSU College of Pharmacy
The Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration has developed many community partnerships for service, education, training, and research. - OSU Outreach and Engagement Office
Provides professional development workshops, information and tools to support engagement, and grants for outreach and service-learning projects.
Stimulates partnerships between Ohio’s schools and the university; Excellent resource for investigators interested in working with secondary schools or teachers.
