About Us

The Center for Clinical and Translational Science was created by the OSU Board of Trustees in 2006. By establishing the Center, OSU was creating an academic home that would receive and administer the NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award. OSU successfully competed for this prestigous grant and was funded in May, 2008.

The mission of the Center is "to improve the quality of care for all patients in the community by developing a transformative clinical and translational science discipline that is at the core of the OSU academic culture."

The goal of the CTSA is to speed the translation of new scientific discoveries to enhance patient outcomes.
